The development team said in the Weird Autumn Twitter reveal thread that it can’t yet confirm what that additional console will be, but it strongly hinted that it will be the Nintendo Switch. Night in the Woods: Weird Autumn will launch on December 13th for PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and another as-yet-revealed console. The Night in the Woods development team hasn’t yet detailed exactly how much new content there will be, but it did confirm that those who already own Night in the Woods will receive the Weird Autumn content via a free update, which means they won’t have to buy the game a second time. Longest Night and Lost Constellation will be available at launch for PC and Xbox One and will come to PlayStation 4 sometime in January of 2018. Weird Autumn will also come bundled with Night in the Woods’ two supplemental games Longest Night and Lost Constellation, providing the first opportunity for console players to experience them (the two mini-episodes were previously only available on PC). The development team behind the quirky and charming narrative adventure title Night in the Woods has announced that the game will soon be getting a definitive "Director’s Cut" re-release called Night in the Woods: Weird Autumn.Īccording to developers Scott Benson, Bethany Hockenberry and Alec Holowka, Night in the Woods: Weird Autumn will act as a definitive edition of sorts, containing all the content from the original game plus some new additions such as additional crimes (and associated mini-games) to solve.
